ECG or EKG Technician

An Electrocardiograph (ECG or EKG) Technician operates medical equipment that records and measures electrical activity in the patient's heart. The recordings assist in the diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of heart problems.

Patient Care Technician

A PCT/PCA works alongside nurses, doctors, as well as other healthcare professionals to help provide quality patient care. PCTs work in hospitals, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities assisting patients with tasks or activities of daily living that they are unable to do for themselves.

The PCT may also train to receive separate certifications as a Phlebotomy and/or an EKG Technician.

Dialysis Technician

Dialysis or Hemodialysis technicians work together with registered nurses (RN) and licensed practical nurses (LPN) to provide direct patient care to patients undergoing treatment due to renal failure. Dialysis or hemodialysis technician provides and discontinues dialysis, monitors patient status and vital signs, obtains blood samples, and documents cares provided. In addition, they are responsible for equipment management, including programming, cleaning and monitoring the hemodialysis machines.

In addition, we offer American Heart Association approved BLS certification for Healthcare workers; Heartsaver certification for workers in the service industry (hotels, airlines, etc...). Upon completion, students can receive an American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers Course Completion Card or Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Course Completion Card for a fee of $10 each.
